How long would you expect to need the cases you are copying ( # months) ?

Good morning,We would expect 3 to 4 weeks of pattern making and casting the two halves followed by a week for heat treatment and then around 3 weeks machining ...It would be best if the original cases were on hand for the duration. I guess when you add in shipping time it will add up over 2 months...It could be a good reason to take a break to the southern hemisphere summer when they are finished.

What sort of volume savings would be appreciated if multiple copies where produced during the production run?

Hi again, the second set would see a big saving due to lots less pattern work (we reckon about 40 % less for the second set) and a smaller saving again thereafter for subsequent sets. What sort of engine are you thinking about?

Cases are apart right now as I am having crank work done after breaking a rod. PM me with shipping details, etc. Cases are not completely stripped.

Causing trouble! Still got my TZ350F I've had for 20 years. Got a nice TZ750 as well (another one), with CMR frame etc

Kerry is building one at present and has a couple of 350's also.
