I have updated the links to the pictures of the bike.
Thankyou for the replies on the thread. Ive tried to contact Jody in an effort to shed some light on the bike but it appears he is not much
of a facebook user and the message has not been read

This is cool,
I will ask Jim Allen (DUNLOP tires) he might have a great memory on this as he was a Suzuki racer himself during this era. Also raced Yamahas 250-350
for Deely.
I just got a 1971 td2b Yamaha from him. He told me he was more of a Suzuki guy lol. Jim raced Daytona and other tracks as expert was from Canada
and was a Canadian champion he is inducted into the Canadian hall of fame.
I have some pics of Jim on Suzuki's but they might be 500cc.

The home email is corsa888@hotmail.com

Thanks so much for the follow up.

Here is another photo of a NZ built Steve Roberts frame. As you can see, the frame geometry is very similar which makes me think it may be a Roberts frame but i havent been able to confirm this. The quality of the brazing on the blue 250 frame is nothing like the quality of the Roberts frame and has that Japanese brazing quality that was typical ( very similar to my factory TR500 of the same era)

If you look at the 68-69 TR250 frame, the geometry is very different and is more like the feathered style that was around at the time.

I have been speaking to Don Emde who has been kind enough to track down some more photos of the 1970 TR250.

The number 58 bike was ridden by Jody and the 61 bike ridden by Ron Grant.

Near identical bike but Ron appears to be running Black Koni rear shocks and Jody is running Ceriani rear shocks which are on the frame that i have.
